Although we have been enjoying warm temperatures and beautiful sunny days, there is a nagging concern. It is lack of moisture. We have not had a drop of moisture since the middle of February in these parts. I am blessed with a well that is strong, but it would only take one season to deplete it’s water if we do not experience a turn around in the weather. That being said the plants in the greenhouse look great and the seed that has been planted thus far in the field is sprouting and looking good. One of my main focuses this season will be water conservation, paying close attention to the plants needs and not over watering. I use drip irrigation and mulching, which is a pretty efficient, but there is always room for improvement, like making sure all leaks in the system are under control sooner than later. I will do what I can, so please follow my lead.
